Whether you are a beginner or Bach, you belong here. The Piano Studio, for over 19 years, has been offering creative piano lessons to all students. Each lesson is designed for the student’s success and musical enjoyment. Let’s get started!
Lessons for Children
The Piano Studio offers a solid foundation in piano instruction. Each private weekly lesson is either 30, 45, or 60 minutes in length and handcrafted for that particular student with goals to be achieved. In addition to the private lesson, each student is assigned a monthly group class which is 45 minutes in length. Each class is planned to include a variety of rhythm activities, theoretical concepts, composing, improvising and performances.
Piano Detectives
Piano Detectives is a special program for beginning students ages 5-6. The class meets for one hour each week, during which students discover the basics of music and piano through a variety of hands-on activities and games, as well as a 10-minute individual lesson. The program offers a fun and stimulating environment, while providing a solid foundation for reading, rhythm, and technical development. The primary goal of the private lesson is to instill good practice habits. Weekly assignments are age-appropriate and are designed to foster complete musicianship at the piano.
Classes begin in September. Thereafter, new classes begin at differet times during the year. Enrollment is limited to six students per class.
Lessons for Adults
The Piano Studio offers an insightful program for Adults in piano instruction. You learn differently than children and you have many learning tools that children may not have yet. We also understand that your desire to make music is personal and we honor that.
Therefore, we offer a flexible approach to teaching including, chord building, popular and classical pieces, and learning at your own pace. We offer weekly private lessons for 30 – 45 – and 60 minutes.
In addition to private lessons, we have three group classes throughout the year where you can learn more about music in general and play for one another if so desired. It is a lot of fun.
